FUNDED :Apply for the University of the Arts London (UAL) Storytelling Fellowship 2024-2025

Applications for the Storytelling Fellowship program for the 2024 cohort are now being accepted.

This year, we are providing a free impact producing training program to up to eight fellows. The skills of effect production, pathways to impact, and the creation of impact strategies and campaigns for individual initiatives will all be taught to fellows.

Over the past eighteen years, impact production has emerged as a vocation and a set of skills thanks to the efforts of DocSociety and their Impact Field Guide. This technique was initially created for documentary filmmakers, but it's now applied to writing, drama, and XR, among other disciplines.

TV, fiction cinema, novels, non-fiction writing, journalism, theatre, XR/immersive/interactive, games, audio/podcasts, animation, comic books, and creative documentaries and docufiction are just a few of the disciplines that this curriculum expands the teaching of impact creation into.

Goals
The Fellowship aims to accomplish the following:

Give the Fellows the tools to produce influence and improve their comprehension of change.
Help the Fellows create an impact strategy that is specific to their projects in order to maximise the impact of their work by providing guidance and support.
Facilitate a pragmatic, experiential education opportunity via workshops, case studies, and mentorship.
Examine the advantages of participating in a cross-disciplinary impact training program that expands the use of impact creation techniques in several creative fields.

The programme offers free places to 6-8 interdisciplinary storytelling professionals and practitioners from various fields, including TV, film, fiction, non-fiction, journalism, theatre, XR, games, audio/podcast, animation, comic books, and creative documentary. The program aims to create positive change in the world, and applicants must prioritize impact first. Applicants can be at any career stage but must have had at least one project launched or broadcast, with a clear social impact potential and a clear timescale for launch, broadcast, or release.

The deadline for applications is Thursday 5 September 2024, 5pm BST
