Are you aged between 18 and 32? Are you interested in playing a role in integrating the perspectives of urban youth into UN-Habitat's global strategy and initiatives?
UN-Habitat is pleased to announce that applications for the 2023-2025 UN-Habitat Youth Advisory Board (YAB) are now open.
About the UN-Habitat Youth Advisory Board:
The Youth Advisory Board serves as a consultative body that provides valuable insights and recommendations to UN-Habitat regarding sustainable urban development strategies. Established in 2008, the YAB has been instrumental in mainstreaming youth viewpoints and promoting youth engagement in UN-Habitat's programs and significant events. In its latest term, the YAB is actively seeking dedicated and passionate young individuals to join its ranks. The board will ensure representation from each of UN-Habitat's six regions and is committed to achieving gender balance.
The UN-Habitat Youth Advisory Board is co-hosted by the Balikesir Metropolitan Municipality in Turkey, which will host World Habitat Day in 2023.

Additional Information
1. Fall within the age range of 18 to 32.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in the English language.
3. Comprehend the Youth Advisory Board's Terms of Reference.
4. Hold a valid passport.
5. Pledge to participate in a minimum of four annual meetings, whether in a virtual or physical capacity.
6. Have access to communication technology and maintain a stable internet connection.
7. Dedicate yourself to actively involving youth and youth networks in your region in discussions related to sustainable urbanization.
