FUNDING OF 15,000 EUROS : Apply for the Youth and Women Innovations to Enhance East Africa’s Economic Integration (GIZ)
The EAC Secretariat, in partnership with GIZ's LIFTED Project and the East African Civil Society Organizations' Forum, and supported financially by the European Union, is calling for applications for the East African Community Hackathon.
This hackathon aims to promote regional economic integration within the East African Community (EAC) by tapping into the creativity and entrepreneurial drive of women and youth Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from the eight EAC Partner States. It will serve as a platform to foster innovation and collaboration, encouraging participants to develop, enhance, and scale transformative solutions that address key obstacles to regional trade in services.
Targeting sectors such as tourism, agriculture, finance, ICT, logistics, and environmental management, the hackathon seeks to create practical, scalable solutions that improve cross-border service flow, enhance economic cooperation, and support inclusive regional growth. Through this initiative, women and youth will have the opportunity to present their ideas and gain access to mentorship, resources, and networks to transform these ideas into sustainable ventures that advance EAC’s broader economic and social development objectives.
Is it possible to apply for more than one project or business?
• As long as the applications offer unique solutions to the problems of regional integration, you are free to submit as many as you like.
Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 21st November 2024.
