The funding opportunity is specifically designed for individuals who are at the beginning stages of their academic careers. Eligible candidates must be affiliated with a university that is a member of the ACU and be within seven years of starting their career in research or teaching. Exceptions are made for those who have taken breaks from their career, for instance, to care for family. To qualify, applicants must have identified a relevant academic conference they plan to attend, scheduled to occur between August 2025 and July 31, 2026, in another Commonwealth country. Additionally, to be considered for funding, applicants are required to be actively participating in the event—whether by leading a session, delivering a paper, or presenting a poster.
