GRANTS: Apply for the Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge for young changemakers

Applications are open for the Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge, a global opportunity for young people to turn their education ideas into meaningful action. With more than half of the world’s population under 30, many young innovators still struggle to access the mentorship, visibility, and resources they need. This initiative aims to change that by supporting youth-led solutions that strengthen learning and sustainability worldwide. Eligible participants aged 15 to 26 are invited to present creative education projects that make a practical difference in their communities and fit within the themes of community impact, well-being, or environmental sustainability.

Selected applicants will receive comprehensive support to refine and expand their ideas. Sixty promising projects will take part in a virtual learning journey that offers personalised guidance, expert-led sessions, and practical development tools meant to elevate their work. From this group, twelve standout participants will be honoured as ambassadors and awarded a grant of $1,000 to further grow their initiatives.

Every shortlisted project will gain visibility through certification by the United Nations University Hub for the Future of Learning with Youth and will be showcased on the Learning Planet platform, connecting them to a global circle of educators, partners, and innovators. The twelve ambassadors will also receive exclusive invitations to international events and dedicated networking opportunities that help them amplify their impact. Applications close on 15 January 2026.
