GRANTS: Apply for the YCLC Fund for young BIPOC leaders advocating for racial and climate justice

Empowering Young Climate Leaders of Color Fund

The YCLC Fund are offering financial awards to young climate leaders from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities who are driving transformative change and racial justice in their communities. This fund supports initiatives led by young people aged 18-32 who are redefining the climate movement.

Their goal is to amplify local movements and innovative solutions that prioritize community needs and environmental justice. They will provide funding and resources to support projects that embody creativity, resilience, and collective action.

Awards will be given to individuals or BIPOC collectives based on the merit of their applications. They encourage applications from young people directly impacted by climate disasters, particularly those from the Northeast, Gulf South, California (Central Valley), and Tribal lands.

Funding levels range from $2,000 to $10,000 and can be used for various purposes, including training, education, tools, and equipment. Projects must be community-driven, align with local needs, and demonstrate a commitment to environmental justice.

They welcome applications from previous participants in their youth programs and encourage collective projects to apply.
