GRANTS: Storytellers and journalists are invited to apply for these capturing climate change footage funds
Video journalists: Do you want to film footage of climate change? In Old News and the Earth Journalism Network (EJN) are offering journalists $500-$1000 to capture the effects of and solutions to climate change, like rising sea levels, extreme weather, renewable energy, and more.
They need journalists to create a library of free-to-use footage that shows how climate change affects the world and what we can do about it. Budget cuts have made it hard for journalists to travel, so this project aims to provide diverse footage for climate change stories. Thanks to support from Internews’ Earth Journalism Network and The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), they can offer this opportunity to over 10 journalists from the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
They want journalists who can film different aspects of climate change, especially those in the Asia Pacific region. But they’re open to pitches from journalists in other places too.
