GRANTS: Apply for the GRYN Youth Action for Refugee youth-led advocacy projects

The GRYN Youth Action Fund, under the Shift-Power initiative, is inviting applications from refugee youth-led groups around the world to support projects that prioritize the active involvement of young people affected by displacement in shaping policy decisions. Proposals that clearly reflect this objective will be given strong consideration during the selection process.

Eligible initiatives must be led by youth from refugee backgrounds, rooted in the community, and backed by relevant evidence or experience. Project leaders should be between the ages of 15 and 30, and the proposed activities can focus on a broad range of pressing issues such as access to education, health and wellness, economic empowerment, gender inclusion, mental health, environmental protection, peaceful coexistence, and local efforts that advocate for policy transformation.

Selected projects will receive financial support ranging between $1,000 and $2,000 USD. In addition to funding, successful applicants will benefit from skill-building sessions on how to craft strong proposals and implement their projects effectively, using templates and tools provided. They will also gain access to networks, advocacy opportunities, and platforms to amplify their voices and connect with others working on similar goals.

To qualify, groups must be led by refugees and cannot submit more than one application. Only collective efforts from organizations are accepted; individual submissions are not permitted. Furthermore, applications generated using artificial intelligence will not be considered.
