Green Climate Fund Office of Governance Affairs Internship 2026 in South Korea | $1,600/Month
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is inviting applications for an Office of Governance Affairs Intern – Front Office position in Songdo, Incheon City, Republic of Korea. The six-month internship is scheduled to begin in November 2026 and offers a monthly remuneration of US$1,600.
The Green Climate Fund is a global multilateral climate finance institution established in 2010 by the 194 Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Headquartered in the Republic of Korea, the Fund works with developing countries to support transformative climate action and sustainable development by mobilising and directing investment towards climate-related projects and programmes. Its work also includes strengthening countries’ capacity to plan and implement climate action through initiatives such as its Readiness Programme.
The selected intern will join the Office of Governance Affairs and provide operational and administrative support to the team. The position will offer practical exposure to the internal operations of an international organisation, particularly in the areas of governance, coordination and office management. Working under the guidance of designated supervisors and alongside the OGA Director and Front Office, the intern will assist with the logistical preparation and coordination of Board meetings, technical sessions and other official events. Responsibilities will also include organising electronic and physical records, maintaining shared folders, managing access to virtual and in-person meetings, supporting team activities and coordinating logistical arrangements such as venues and suppliers. The intern may also be assigned other tasks and projects related to the work of the office.
Applicants should be currently enrolled in, or have recently graduated from, a Master’s degree programme in business, finance, climate change, sustainability or a related field. Candidates should have knowledge of, an interest in, or experience related to investments, financial institutions and/or climate change. Familiarity with the operations of international organisations will be considered an advantage. Applicants should also be comfortable using standard Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access, and should demonstrate strong writing and presentation abilities. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of another UN language, particularly Korean, is an advantage.
The internship will be based at the Green Climate Fund headquarters in Songdo, Incheon City, Republic of Korea. The position runs for six months from November 2026 and provides a monthly remuneration of US$1,600.
