JOB OPPORTUNITIES : TotalEnergies Uganda is hiring in Various Positions 

TotalEnergies SE is a French multinational integrated energy and petroleum company founded in 1924 and is one of the seven supermajor oil companies. Its businesses cover the entire oil and gas chain, from crude oil and natural gas exploration and production to power generation, transportation, refining, petroleum product marketing, and international crude oil and product trading.

Position 1: Surface Logistics Superintendent

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate logistics operations for 3 camps, temporary waste storage areas, aviation and airstrip, road transportation, and provision of utilities such as water, fuel, catering, and hospitality.
- Manage coordination with contractors and stakeholders to ensure availability and efficiency of support, including civil works.
- Prepare, review, and implement operational procedures.
- Interface with other company entities and coordinate accordingly.
- Oversee contractor work to ensure safety and adherence to scope, including offsite locations.

HSE Responsibilities:
- Promote safety and compliance with standards, and implement safety campaigns, especially for road transportation.
- Continuously analyze risks and ensure logistics means for project & affiliate emergency plans are operational.
- Assume the role of the RSES-D for logistics and offsites for the Tilenga project.
- Control costs and manage budget.
- Gather and share lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in logistics and support to oil and gas operations at a supervision level.
- Proficiency in English and experience with ERP systems, including SAP.
- Strong leadership, proactive mindset, and the ability to work under pressure.

Position 2: External Communications & Public Affairs Coordinator

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

External Communications:
- Advise on and implement external communication strategies to enhance the company's image.
- Disseminate key messages to external stakeholders through various media.
- Supervise public relations activities and promotional events.
- Engage with media houses, journalists, and online influencers for positive reporting.
- Develop and implement digital communication strategies, and monitor online sentiments.
- Support issue and crisis communication functions.

Public Affairs:
- Maintain relationships with key government officials and stakeholders.
- Analyze national political, social, and economic issues relevant to company operations.
- Prepare briefing materials for political audiences and internal stakeholders.
- Track legislative activity and coordinate company participation in strategic lobbying entities.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field; a Master's or professional qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in communications.
- Proven experience in strategic and targeted communications within a large organization.
- Strong computer skills and understanding of internet and social media tools.

Position 3: Deputy Construction Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all construction activities north of the Nile, ensuring respect for HSE, quality, costs, and schedule.
- Develop and implement a construction organization using company and contracted resources.
- Supervise the preparation of construction documents and provide technical assistance.
- Conduct site visits to assess work quality and progress.
- Identify and address productivity issues, forecast performance, and manage manpower requirements.
- Maintain good relationships with contractors and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Evaluate and manage risks, and lead emergency response efforts.
- Promote and ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including construction of civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical works.
- Experience in large onshore/offshore oil and gas construction projects.
- Expertise in construction discipline and strong knowledge of international design codes/standards.
- Excellent communication skills and understanding of the political environment.
