1.Senior Associate, Grant Management

The role's summary is as follows: The Senior Associate will help Women Deliver by providing direct resources to advocates, mostly in countries with a large population, in order to advance gender equality and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). This will be done by bringing technical knowledge in trust-based grantmaking processes to the table. Overseeing and assisting with grantmaking for all Women Deliver workstreams, the Senior Associate, Grant Management focuses on funding for young people as part of the Emerging Leaders for Change initiative.

The Senior Associate will also assist Women Deliver in developing and overseeing fresh grantmaking projects, such as those that benefit local and regional groups fighting anti-rights movements. A thorough consultation with impacted parties will be used to identify and manage the Countering Anti-Rights grant portfolio, ideally using participatory and trust-based grant-making techniques.

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Youth Engagement, who is in charge of overseeing the Emerging Leaders work stream, because it will be devoting a substantial amount of time and energy to the programme.

The job requires 4-6 years of experience in program and grant management, focusing on equitable approaches to trust-based grantmaking, youth engagement, advocacy, sustainable development, gender equality, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. Experience working with diverse adolescents and young people globally is required. Strong understanding of budget management and monitoring frameworks is required. Knowledge in sexual and reproductive health and rights, Women Deliver's three issue areas, and adolescent girl issues is preferred. Commitment to fostering an anti-racist and inclusive workplace is also required.

2.Senior Associate, Youth Engagement (East Africa Regional Advisor)

Establishing a supportive relationship with each Emerging Leader and acting as their initial point of contact, the Senior Associate, East Africa Regional Advisor will oversee the whole Emerging Leader experience for the cohort based in East Africa. In addition to serving as a mentor to Emerging Leaders, the Senior Associate will help Emerging Leaders build strong local, national, and regional networks that will be beneficial to their projects or advocacy efforts. Since these individuals are alumni of Women Deliver's Young Leaders Programme, this position will act as the primary point of contact for a group of six Emerging Leader Mentors.

In addition, Women Deliver will receive advice from the Senior Associate regarding programme and advocacy modifications that are essential for their operations in East Africa. The Senior Manager, Youth Engagement, who oversees the Emerging Leaders work stream, will receive reports from this position.

The job requires 4-6 years of experience in program management for adolescent or youth-serving programs in advocacy, sustainable development, gender equality, or sexual and reproductive health and rights in East Africa or globally. Experience working with diverse adolescents and young people, utilizing equitable youth engagement and co-leadership, and strong project management skills. Strong written and verbal communications skills are required, along with knowledge of youth leadership, advocacy, sustainable development, gender equality, and sexual and reproductive health and rights networks. Knowledge of child and young person safeguarding best practices is preferred. Commitment to fostering an anti-racist, global, and inclusive workplace is required.
