As an integral part of the Major Group for Children and Youth at the United Nations, this platform represents youth-led initiatives and individuals from more than 90 nations. Its mission is to ensure that young migrants transcend being participants in migration discussions and emerge as leaders driving impactful decisions that directly affect them.

Insights Into the Business Development Team

The Business Development Team operates within MYCP’s Coordination Team and is tasked with:

•Establishing and fostering meaningful relationships with important stakeholders.

•Designing strategies to ensure MYCP achieves financial sustainability and institutional support.

•Coordinating activities and initiatives aligned with the goals of the platform.

•Evaluating and analyzing the outcomes of partnerships to measure impact.

This role is entirely virtual, unpaid, and perfect for those aiming to gain meaningful experience in the realm of business development within a vibrant, youth-driven global organization.

Ideal Candidate Profile

MYCP seeks candidates who demonstrate:

•Experience or knowledge in fundraising, managing grants, or creating partnerships.

•A positive mindset and a willingness to develop new skills.

•Leadership experience and the ability to collaborate within a team.

•Competence in working within a remote and culturally diverse team.

•An ability to independently handle tasks and meet set deadlines.

Core Responsibilities

Team members will:

1.Build and sustain relationships with both current and potential partners, focusing on generating funding and fostering collaborations.

2.Contribute to crafting a structured and efficient framework for stakeholder partnerships in line with MYCP’s partnership strategy.

3.Support initiatives aimed at ensuring youth engagement extends beyond MYCP’s core programs.

4.Develop tools such as impact evaluations, activity logs, and other resources for tracking the outcomes of collaborative efforts.

Deliverables

•Develop a detailed Partnerships Strategy Document outlining the framework for building and maintaining collaborative relationships.

•Create monitoring tools, including activity logs and impact reports, to evaluate the success of partnerships and initiatives.

•Represent MYCP at relevant events and engage with stakeholders where appropriate.

•Attend strategic meetings with potential partners, presenting MYCP’s work and addressing related inquiries.
