The Campus Focal Point Programme 2026 is a student-focused leadership and climate innovation initiative designed to equip African university students with practical skills, hands-on experience, and the confidence needed to drive climate solutions within their campuses and surrounding communities.
This programme brings together passionate undergraduate and postgraduate students from across Africa who are eager to take action on climate challenges while strengthening their leadership and professional capabilities.
About the Programme
The Campus Focal Point Programme empowers students to become change agents by combining learning, collaboration, and real-world community engagement. Selected participants serve as Campus Focal Points, leading climate-focused activities, coordinating peer engagement, and implementing a community development project during the programme period.
The programme emphasizes practical learning, teamwork, and innovation, enabling students to turn ideas into meaningful action.
A strong majority of past participants have recommended the programme to fellow students, highlighting its value in personal growth and practical impact.
Programme Commitment
Selected Campus Focal Points are expected to:

Volunteer approximately 1–2 hours per week

Organize climate-related activities on campus or within their communities

Implement a community or campus-based development project using provided toolkits

Participate in monthly virtual meetings with other student leaders

Maintain regular communication with the programme team
