Applications are open for the Community Engagement Manager position at Another Way, a UK-based environmental charity working to empower young people to take action for the planet. The successful candidate will lead the organisation’s Power of 10 digital community and Roots of Change club, helping young people develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver their own climate and nature projects.

About Another Way
Founded in 2019 by Amy Bray when she was 16, Another Way supports young people to live with kindness towards the planet and take meaningful action on environmental challenges.
Through its Power of 10 movement, the organisation works to build a digital community of young people committed to climate and nature action. The Community Engagement Manager will play a central role in strengthening this community, expanding participation and ensuring that young people feel supported, included and empowered.
Key Responsibilities
The Community Engagement Manager will oversee the delivery and continued development of the Power of 10 digital platform and Roots of Change club.
Key responsibilities include:
- Youth engagement: Lead the Roots of Change online club, organise weekly meetings, coordinate guest speakers and learning sessions, and support members in developing their own environmental projects.
- Digital community management: Oversee the Power of 10 platform, publish regular content, encourage participation and help create a welcoming online environment.
- Safeguarding and moderation: Ensure community guidelines and safeguarding procedures are followed, with support from the organisation’s Digital Safeguarding Lead.
- Programme development: Design engaging workshops, talks and monthly missions that help young people build practical skills and knowledge.
- Monitoring and evaluation: Track participation, engagement and programme outcomes, analyse performance data and report progress to the Director of Youth Programmes and CEO.
- Outreach and partnerships: Develop strategies to grow the movement, build relevant partnerships and represent the programme at schools and in-person events when required.
- Team and volunteer management: Coordinate volunteer moderators and facilitators while working closely with the Community Engagement Assistant and wider youth engagement team.
- Communications: Maintain regular communication with young people, parents and team members, helping to promote activities and share programme updates.
Additional Experience That Would Be an Advantage
Experience in project management within the environmental or education sectors, digital moderation, communications, spreadsheet management, reporting, analytics or design tools such as Canva would be beneficial. A background in building inclusive communities or youth-led movements is also an advantage.

Additional Information
- Salary: £32,000 per year full-time equivalent, adjusted to reflect the part-time hours
- Working arrangement: Remote, with occasional travel across the UK
- Annual leave: 25 days per year, plus UK public holidays
