Program Benefits
Selected ventures will participate in a customized four-month acceleration programme designed around their unique growth needs. Participants will receive context-specific advisory support, investment readiness assistance, and opportunities to connect with strategic partners, investors, and ecosystem leaders. The programme offers mentorship from experts, access to continental and global networks, enhanced visibility, and long-term support through an alumni ecosystem. Beyond the accelerator period, selected ventures can continue benefiting from relationships, partnerships, and opportunities that can help scale both their businesses and their social impact.
Eligibility Criteria
This opportunity is open to African-owned and African-led ventures operating primarily on the continent, particularly those working in healthcare innovation or climate resilience. Applicants should be registered for-profit enterprises with demonstrated market traction, a sizable customer base, and strong potential to scale. The accelerator is mainly seeking growth-stage and mature-stage businesses, though some climate ventures at earlier stages with proven potential may also be considered. Eligible healthcare ventures may include those working in digital health, diagnostics, medical devices, maternal health, supply chain innovations, disease management, and other solutions strengthening health systems. Climate-focused ventures may include those working in clean energy, sustainable transport, circular economy solutions, waste management, and nature-based climate solutions. A strong African leadership presence, locally rooted operations, and ambition to expand impact across multiple countries are important considerations.
Eligible Countries
Open to applicants from all African countries. This is a pan-African opportunity open to eligible African-owned and African-led ventures operating across the continent, with preference given to companies working in multiple African countries or with strong potential for regional scale and cross-border impact. Ventures from all regions of Africa—including East, West, Central, North, and Southern Africa—are eligible to apply, provided they meet the programme’s sector and stage requirements.
