The Leading African Women in Food Fellowship (LAWFF) Program is an impactful initiative aimed at empowering and honoring women leaders within Africa's food and agriculture industries. Spanning six months, the program offers training, mentorship, and a collaborative community for exceptional female innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, chefs, influencers, and storytellers. Its holistic approach includes media exposure, international recognition, and continuous monitoring and evaluation to assess its success and impact.
LAWFF champions gender equality, aids in poverty alleviation, and promotes sustainable economic development, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Goals
Create a solid sisterhood of female leaders who will help one another in their individual and group endeavours to change the food ecosystem.
Make it easier for women changemakers to access vital resources and networks to further their creative work in the food ecosystem.Increase program fellows' visibility and media involvement to elevate the voices of female changemakers both domestically and globally.
Increase the rate of gender parity in the food and agricultural sectors.
