Paid Fellowship : Apply for the 2026 ReNew Democracy Fellowship

Applications are open for the 2026 ReNew Democracy Fellowship aimed at expanding access to public service by supporting a new generation of diverse, solutions-driven individuals who aspire to contribute to the work of pragmatic, center-left congressional offices.

Through the ReNew Democracy Fellowship, selected participants will receive a monthly stipend, access to professional growth opportunities, mentorship, and connections to a broader network of civic-minded peers.

Fellowship Placement and Duration
Fellows will serve in paid placements within offices of the U.S. House of Representatives, from January 5 to September 25, 2026.

About the Fellowship Experience

Throughout this nine-month program, fellows will collaborate directly with congressional staff and lawmakers, assisting with legislative priorities, stakeholder engagement, and policy research. In addition to their placement duties, fellows will take part in a robust professional development program. This includes guided mentorship, career planning resources, and the completion of a capstone initiative designed to showcase their learning and leadership during the fellowship.
