PAID INTERNSHIPS : Check out these 3 internship opportunities at the Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) for graduates and recent graduates

INTRODUCTION :The Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) is an inclusive and diverse Partnership of organizations joining forces towards a world where vulnerable people and places are able to thrive in the face of shocks, uncertainty and change. GRP achieves collective impact by adding value to the work of its individual partners through innovation and scaling, shared learning, convening diverse voices, and advancing knowledge.

ASSUMPTIONS AND DUTIES
An intern for the programme will be hired by GRP and will function in the GRP Secretariat. The GRP Secretariat is a compact, multiethnic group that brings together and spurs Partner activity. It will be a home-based internship. The Junior Programmes Officer will oversee this internship, which will assist GRP's Resilience Evidence Coalition and WYSER initiatives.

1.The role involves identifying and reviewing resilience resources for the Resilience Platform, drafting and disseminating Resilience Evidence Coalition email updates, conducting research on Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) on Climate Resilience Leadership for young leaders, interviewing representatives from partner organizations and stakeholders, analyzing data to assess strengths and weaknesses of MOOC offerings, drafting a comprehensive document summarizing findings, assisting in project management, and assigning other tasks as assigned by the team.

The candidate must have a degree in a relevant discipline, be under 35, a national of a country eligible for Official Development Assistance, have prior internship or volunteer experience in program coordination or project management, have strong research and analytical skills, be interested in resilience and international development cooperation, be a self-starter, adaptive, and work well in a multi-disciplinary team, have a personal laptop and internet connection, and be able to express themselves in English. Additional languages are an asset.

A monthly salary of USD 800 is suggested. A certificate of completion, networking possibilities, alumni clubs, and access to virtual places for collaboration are further benefits.
An internet connection and a personal laptop are required, as these will not be supplied to the candidate.
To compensate the candidate for utilising their own laptop and internet connection, 50 USD will be paid (part of the compensation package).

2. An intern in operations is being hired by GRP to join the GRP Secretariat. The GRP Secretariat is an international team of modest and diverse members that brings the Partners together and facilitates their work. It will be a home-based internship. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this internship will assist with GRP's operational tasks.

The operations intern will be responsible for the following duties: - Help with routine administrative work for the operations team.
- Assistance with organising and managing databases, paperwork, and office records.
- Support the planning and scheduling of appointments, events, and meetings.
Assist with the authoring and formatting of reports, presentations, and other papers.
- Help with financial management duties include reporting expenses and keeping track of budgets

The candidate must have a degree in a relevant discipline, be younger than 35, and be a national of a country eligible for Official Development Assistance. They should have strong analytical, communication, and technical skills for non-profit work. They should have a personal laptop and internet connection, and be adaptable, independent, and work well in a fast-paced team. They should also have an interest in resilience and international development cooperation. Excellent English language skills are required, with additional languages being an asset.

There will be a one-month probationary period before the five-month employment term begins. This is a full-time position role intended to obtain expertise in a professional work environment. Students looking to complete a research assignment for credit are not the target audience for this offer, nor is it appropriate for them.

For a maximum of one day can be devoted to capacity building (training, research, events) in a week. These initiatives to increase capacity won't receive any financing.

For this activity, no travel is anticipated. When appropriate, internships may be sponsored to attend events virtually. The sole exception is if there is extra cash available to pay travel expenses and the trip falls under the purview of certain responsibilities. There won't be many chances to continue working internally when the assignment is over. Based on behaviour, references may be given to potential employers. If the internship is completed successfully, a certification letter will be sent.

3. A Junior Content Creator is being hired by GRP to join the GRP Secretariat. The GRP Secretariat is a small, multiethnic group that brings the Partners together and helps them take action.
The intern will work from home. Reporting to the Communication Officer, this internship will assist GRP's work on policies and communications.

The duties of the will include: ● Creating campaigns to expand GRP’s social media community and ingeniously exploring new avenues to engage new audiences with GRP’s mission ● Using Canva, create social media graphic content such fliers, promo cards, and short films
● Create and implement innovative strategies for two-way contact with GRP's audiences on social media, such as discussion threads, polls, quizzes, and Q&As. ● Actively comment on and share content from GRP Partners on social media.
● Write news articles and blogs for GRP's website ● Take part in events virtually ● Help with report writing and rapporteuring at GRP gatherings ● Help assemble GRP's monthly newsletter

The candidate must have a degree in a relevant discipline with 3-5 years of experience, be younger than 35, and be a national of a country eligible for Official Development Assistance. They should have strong writing and communication skills in English, interest in resilience, experience with basic graphic design, and be willing to experiment creatively with social media content. They should have a personal laptop and internet connection, and be adaptable, independent, and work well in a multi-disciplinary team. They should also have an interest in resilience and international development cooperation.

There will be a one-month probationary period before the five-month employment term begins. This is a full-time position role intended to obtain expertise in a professional work environment.
