The Green Climate Fund (GCF) stands as the largest multilateral climate fund globally, supporting transformative, innovative, and impactful initiatives in developing nations worldwide. With a portfolio encompassing 297 projects across 133 countries, the GCF has committed a total of USD 16.6 billion to date.

In 2023, an additional USD 12.8 billion was pledged to fund the new strategic and programming cycle from 2024 to 2027, with a goal of growing the fund to at least USD 50 billion by 2030. Guided by its core principles of maximizing impact and efficiency, ensuring accessibility, prioritizing the most vulnerable, and mobilizing substantial public and private sector financial flows for climate action, the GCF has access to unmatched resources. This, combined with its willingness to take on risks and its flexibility, enables the fund to forge innovative partnerships with various stakeholders to achieve significant and lasting change.
