Deutsche Welle (DW) is seeking skilled multimedia journalists to join their English for Africa team in Abuja, Nigeria, Accra, Ghana, and Nairobi, Kenya. As a freelance multimedia journalist, you will produce engaging news stories and reports from the ground, leveraging your passion for storytelling and video production expertise.

Responsibilities:

- Independently produce high-quality web videos in English, including scripting, research, editing, and final production
- Contribute to developing innovative formats for social media platforms, particularly Facebook and TikTok
- Conduct journalistic research and collaborate with the team on content creation and distribution

Requirements:

- University degree in journalism and relevant professional experience in multimedia broadcasting and online journalism
- Strong knowledge of social media, web video, and mobile reporting
- Excellent storytelling skills for video and text content
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and extensive knowledge of current political, economic, social, and cultural conditions in Africa
