What is the Peter Cullen Trust (PCT) Leadership Program?
This transformative initiative is designed to cultivate bold leaders dedicated to the sustainable and equitable management of Australia’s water resources and natural environments.
The PCT Leadership Program equips future leaders with enhanced leadership capabilities, communication skills, and the capacity to drive meaningful change. It aims to create lasting, sustainable impact rather than offering temporary inspiration.
Participants have a rare opportunity to dive deep into their leadership potential and strengthen their influence for positive change. This experiential, challenging, and rewarding program is focused on learning through experience rather than traditional teaching.
With a cap of 16 exceptional participants, this transformative journey sharpens their clarity, confidence, strategic thinking, and shared vision, while preparing them to step into leadership roles within their organizations and communities.
Key outcomes for participants include:
- Tools and skills for effective communication
- Increased individual effectiveness within teams
- Practical insights to inspire positive change
- New critical thinking and knowledge shaped by adaptive and system leadership styles
- Courage to challenge the status quo
- A strong cohort bonded by a shared experience
Graduates of the Program become Fellows of the Peter Cullen Trust, joining a nationwide network of over 250 Fellows. This esteemed network offers access to mentoring, ongoing professional development, national dialogues, peer-led activities, and a supportive community within a trusted environment.
Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 17 November 2024.
Additional Information
While demonstrated success in their current field is valuable, the key factor is the potential to step into or enhance a leadership role in the future.
Participants in the past have been intentionally selected from a wide range of backgrounds, whether from rural, regional, or urban areas, and working across rivers, catchments, estuaries, or groundwater. They have come from various sectors, including water authorities, community organizations, research institutions, irrigation, NGOs, industry, consulting, and government agencies.
This diversity of experience and perspectives is a vital element of the learning and development opportunity. Those who are ready for the challenge and committed to the process will benefit from the growth and lasting connections that come from overcoming challenges alongside a motivated cohort.
The Peter Cullen Trust also offers a limited number of scholarships to support outstanding individuals who may not otherwise be able to join a PCT Leadership Program.
