Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization dedicated to advancing children’s rights and promoting gender equality. We believe in the potential of every child, but we recognize that poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination often hinder this potential, particularly for girls, who are most affected.

By collaborating with children, young people, supporters, and partners, we work towards creating a just world, addressing the root causes of the challenges faced by girls and vulnerable children. Our work supports children’s rights from birth to adulthood, helping them prepare for and overcome crises and adversity. We advocate for changes in practices and policies at local, national, and global levels, leveraging our experience, reach, and knowledge.

For over 85 years, we have united passionate individuals to improve the lives of children in more than 80 countries.
