Delivered by OceanX, the fellowship blends science, media, and technology to shape the next generation of ocean leaders.
The programme aligns with global sustainability efforts, including the UN Ocean Decade and Sustainable Development Goal 14, by strengthening ocean literacy and supporting innovative solutions for marine conservation.
About the Fellowship
The Ocean Futures Fellowship is a full-time, remote opportunity that runs from June to December 2026. Participants engage in hands-on projects, professional training, and mentorship while collaborating with a global network of experts.
Fellows contribute to real-world initiatives that promote ocean exploration, conservation, and public engagement, while also building career pathways in emerging fields.
Fellowship Tracks
Applicants can choose from several specialized roles depending on their interests and background:

AI Fellow – Develop and apply AI tools to support ocean research and storytelling

Digital Asset Archives Fellow – Manage and enhance access to media and research content
