About the Internship
The Rise Summer Internship provides students with hands-on experience supporting advocacy and legislative initiatives at local, national, and global levels. Interns contribute to policy campaigns, research projects, and communications efforts while learning how social movements translate ideas into tangible policy change.
Previous cohorts have engaged in high-level activities including policy preparation, event coordination, coalition building, and participation in international advocacy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will:
- Support ongoing state, federal, and international advocacy campaigns
- Assist initiatives led by Rise Justice Labs teams
- Conduct research and prepare briefing materials and internal documents
- Help coordinate media events through research and logistical support
- Monitor current events and policy developments relevant to campaigns
- Provide operational and administrative assistance to senior staff
- Contribute to collaborative projects advancing social change initiatives
