In order to support climate adaptation and biodiversity protection in urban communities and watersheds in sub-Saharan Africa, the Scaling Urban NbS for Climate Adaptation in Sub-Saharan Africa (SUNCASA) project seeks to involve local partners and communities in the design and implementation of nature-based solutions (NbS). Enhancing inclusive and gender-responsive NbS governance in these communities is another goal of the project.

Project support is a part of the job, and it includes operational planning, project monitoring and execution, contracting, budgeting, evaluation, and reporting. It entails tracking spending, organising corporate card administration, and producing and formatting programme documentation. In addition, the position entails managing a filing system, scheduling team meetings, and simplifying IISD guidelines. It also include organising events, which includes organising trips, briefings, conferences, seminars, workshops, and online events. In order to file information, the duty also entails following up with teammates after events.
Candidates from remote Johannesburg, Kigali, or Dire Dawa must hold work authorization for their desired locations. Full-time, 3-year term, salary commensurate with experience, with application deadline April 20, 2024.
