Up to €83 Million in Funding : Apply for the Fair Focus on Trade (FFT) Subsidy Programme 2026
Applications are now open for the Fair Focus on Trade (FFT) Subsidy Programme 2026, an initiative of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) under the Dutch government's Focus policy framework.
The programme aims to strengthen civil society organizations working to promote clean, fair, and sustainable trade by supporting initiatives that improve responsible business conduct, strengthen local organizations, and make international value chains more sustainable.
With a total budget of €83 million, the programme will support up to eight large-scale projects operating across selected countries in Africa and Asia. Projects should strengthen local civil society organizations through capacity development, service delivery, policy dialogue, and financing while contributing to sustainable trade between production countries and Dutch or European markets.
Selected projects will run for five years, including a six-month inception phase, and focus on priority sectors such as agriculture, mining, and garments and textiles.
Funding
Successful applicants may receive grants ranging from €10 million to €22 million to implement their projects.
Eligible Countries
Projects may be implemented in one to three of the following countries:
- Bangladesh
- Benin
- Côte d'Ivoire
- Democratic Republic of the Congo
- Egypt
- Ethiopia
- Ghana
- India
- Indonesia
- Jordan
- Kenya
- Lebanon
- Morocco
- Mozambique
- Nigeria
- Palestinian Territories
- Senegal
- South Africa
- Tunisia
- Uganda
- Vietnam
Eligible Sectors
Projects should focus on one or more of the following sectors:
- Agriculture and agri-food
- Mining and critical raw materials
- Garments and textiles
The programme is not open to:
- For-profit organizations
- Government institutions
- Intergovernmental organizations
- Consortium applications submitted on behalf of partnerships

- Have strong organizational and financial management systems.
- Show the ability to monitor partners and manage project risks.
- Demonstrate financial sustainability, where applicable.
- Submit projects focusing on one or more eligible countries and priority value chains identified by the programme.
