Position Overview:
The Senior Associate, Digital Communications is responsible for conveying Women Deliver’s brand and message across digital platforms. This role involves managing the organization’s digital channels on a day-to-day basis, supporting special campaigns and projects, and improving online engagement. The Senior Associate also ensures consistent messaging across platforms and collects data to inform future strategies.

Reporting to the Communications Director, the Senior Associate collaborates closely with the Communications team and other departments within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Strategy, Content, and Data:

- Collaborate with the Communications Director and team to develop digital content that effectively communicates Women Deliver’s brand and messaging.
- Co-develop and implement digital campaigns to achieve organizational goals, support key projects, and mark significant milestones.
- Regularly meet with the Communications Team to align on organizational strategies, goals, and editorial calendars, while managing the digital content calendar.
- Work with various Women Deliver teams to co-create digital content that aligns with organizational goals, including contributions to key global advocacy events and initiatives.
- Assist in the ideation, drafting, and publishing of storytelling and content projects, including written, audio, video, photos, and graphics.
- Contribute to the development of digital communications metrics; measure and report on channel and campaign performance to guide future strategies.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues on websites, newsletters, apps, and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with external vendors for content creation and campaign support, including graphic designers and videographers.
- Stay updated on the latest digital technologies and best practices and provide recommendations for adoption.
- Provide digital strategy advice to staff and external partners through training and material reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Social Media:

- Oversee the daily management of Women Deliver’s social media channels by creating and scheduling content, monitoring engagement, leading community interactions, and responding to partner content and emerging social issues.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across social media channels, websites, and newsletters.
- Manage paid social media campaigns, including strategizing content, platform selection, audience targeting, duration, and budget.
- Lead the creation and distribution of social media toolkits.
- Contribute to influencer and stakeholder mapping for social media engagement.

Websites:

- Manage and update website content, including text, graphics, and animations.
- Monitor website performance and engagement; recommend content adjustments based on metrics.
- Assist in designing new websites, mobile apps, and digital tools.
- Coordinate with developers and designers.
- Manage the organic SEO strategy.

Newsletter:

- Create and distribute organizational newsletters by preparing content, coordinating with colleagues, conducting A/B tests, following approval processes, and publishing on the website.
- Co-develop strategies for newsletter growth and segmentation.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and best practices for data collection.

Salary: $68,000 – $74,000 USD + Full Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
- 4-6 years of relevant experience, with a background in digital and social media.
- Proven track record of driving audience growth and engagement through social media, websites, newsletters, and tools like Bitly, Linktree, etc.
- Expertise in analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Sprout Social.
- Strong writing skills for social media, with the ability to simplify complex stories or data into concise, shareable posts and headlines.
- Experience with Website CMS.
- Familiarity with newsletter platforms.
- Skilled in content creation, including graphic design and video editing using tools like Canva. Knowledge of Adobe and CapCut is a plus.
- Experience with visual media (photography, videography) and related editing skills is an advantage.
- Passion for and knowledge of gender equality and SRHR is preferred.
- Experience in global development and/or human rights is a bonus.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, while being persistent, self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Collaborative, creative, and able to work well with colleagues across the organization.
- Language skills (especially French and/or Spanish) are an advantage.
- A commitment to fostering an anti-racist and inclusive work environment is essential.
- Willingness to travel both internationally and domestically, as required.
- Work authorization is required in the candidate's location.
