Youth Art Competition 2024 organized by UNDRR (Selected participants will be fully funded to Namibia)
Young Artists are invited to enter the 2024 Africa Youth Artistic Expression Contest, organized by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR). The competition encourages artistic submissions from young creatives aged 18-35, residing in Africa, to raise awareness about disaster risk reduction.
The contest's theme, "Empowering the Next Generation for a Resilient Future: A Creative Response to Disaster Risk," aligns with the Africa Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction's theme, "Act Now for the Resilient Africa We Want."
The top entry will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to attend the Africa Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in Windhoek, Namibia, from October 21-24, 2024. The top 30 artistic pieces will be showcased at the event.
This initiative aims to promote creativity, awareness, and understanding of disaster risk reduction among young people, while amplifying their unique perspectives and experiences in addressing climate challenges.
