FULLY FUNDED TO ITALY : Apply for the Jean Monnet Fellowships at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies

A one-year Jean Monnet Fellowship, beginning on September 1, 2025, for the academic year 2025–2026, is available from the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies to academics who have earned their doctorates more than five years before the fellowship begins.

Postdocs, faculty members on tenure tracks, and individuals looking to spend their sabbatical at the Centre are all eligible to apply for the Fellowship program. Join a vibrant and innovative academic community by applying for one of the Center's up to 20 fellowships available each year!

An applicant's resume and research proposal are the primary considerations for Jean Monnet Fellow selection. One of the Center's primary research themes, programs, or projects should be a good fit for the research endeavour.

The Robert Schuman Centre serves as home base for Jean Monnet Fellows, who are involved in one of the Center's initiatives. It is required of them to actively engage in the Center's academic life and make contributions to the project or program they are affiliated with. They are welcome to participate in EUI postdoctoral program activities and are invited to work in collaboration with researchers, fellow postdocs, and academic staff at EUI.

Those who have completed their PhD less than five years ago and would like to collaborate with Schuman Center-based academics should apply to the Max Weber Program.

The deadline for applications is 25 October 2024 at 14:00 (CEST)
