Location: Banbury, London, Cardiff, or Belfast – you will be based at the nearest office with the option for hybrid working.

Salary & Benefits: £51,000 salary, plus 10% pension, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a 35-hour work week, up to 13 flexi-days, private medical insurance, life assurance, and more.

The Role

As a Senior Specialist for Climate Action/Net Zero, you will lead the design and execution of a multi-year workstream aimed at achieving Net Zero within the UK’s food and drink sector. Reporting to the Climate Action Programme Lead, you will define the technical direction for WRAP’s efforts to accelerate the reduction of GHG emissions.

Your focus will be on specific challenges within the food and drink sector, such as standardizing GHG measurement, engaging suppliers in Scope 3, promoting sustainable procurement, cutting emissions on farms, managing land sustainably, driving data innovation, fostering sustainable manufacturing, or advancing green finance in food supply chains.

You’ll collaborate with leaders in agriculture and consumer behavior workstreams to develop and implement comprehensive net-zero strategies across the food and drink value chain. This work will contribute to the Courtauld 2030 goal of halving GHG emissions from food and drink consumed in the UK.
