Funded : Apply for the 63rd Graduate Study Program at UN Geneva

The United Nations Geneva is offering an exciting opportunity for graduate students to participate in its prestigious 63rd Graduate Study Programme (GSP), scheduled from 30 June to 11 July 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. This two-week summer seminar provides participants with a unique chance to deepen their understanding of the UN and "International Geneva" through lectures, workshops, group projects, and institutional visits.

The 63rd GSP is centered around the theme: "UN80: United for a Better Future", focusing on the Pact for the Future and its annexes, including the Global Digital Compact and the Declaration on Future Generations. These landmark agreements, adopted at the Summit of the Future in 2024, are vital to shaping the future of international cooperation, covering issues such as sustainable development, peace and security, digital cooperation, and youth involvement.

Key Programme Highlights:

  • Lectures from UN representatives, international organizations, diplomats, and civil society leaders.
  • Group Projects: Researching aspects of the Pact for the Future and contributing to solutions for global challenges.
  • Networking: Opportunities to engage with UN experts, diplomats, and international professionals.
  • Workshops on contemporary global issues, such as global governance, human rights, gender equality, and digital cooperation.

Costs:

While the Programme is free of charge, participants will need to cover their own expenses, including visa, travel, accommodation, and meals in Geneva. The United Nations Office at Geneva is unable to provide scholarships or sponsorships.

Application Timeline:

  • Application Period: 18 December 2024 – 28 February 2025 (12 noon Geneva time).
  • Results Announced: First week of April 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international relations, deepen your understanding of global issues, and network with future leaders in the field of diplomacy and international cooperation.
