The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), a key partner in the German Federal Government’s development efforts, is seeking an experienced Advisor for its Principal Programme Office in Addis Ababa.

This role is part of the Africa CDC’s mission to drive the vaccine manufacturing agenda forward across the continent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and operationalize the Africa CDC Technology Transfer program.
• Provide technical expertise on vaccine and pharmaceutical manufacturing, particularly in technology transfer and intellectual property.
• Coordinate stakeholders to support vaccine and health product tech transfer to African manufacturers.
• Develop and manage technology transfer initiatives, and monitor progress.
• Lead training and capacity-building efforts in vaccine and health product manufacturing.

This position offers a full- or part-time role, with the possibility of extending the contract. Frequent business trips and compliance with security protocols in fragile contexts are required.
