ClimateWorks partners with a diverse group of stakeholders, including funders, NGOs, and climate leaders, to scale solutions across various sectors, such as carbon dioxide removal, cooling, industry, and transportation. The foundation promotes collaboration and learning to foster innovative and equitable climate solutions.
Program Overview:
The Adaptation and Resilience program at ClimateWorks focuses on creating a collaborative network of funders committed to addressing climate adaptation and resilience globally. The program manages the Adaptation and Resilience Collaborative for Funders (ARC) and supports grantmaking and global strategy development in this critical area.
Role Overview:
The Program Associate will play an integral role in supporting the Adaptation and Resilience program. This dynamic, team-oriented position is ideal for a collaborative, organized, and proactive individual who is passionate about climate adaptation and resilience. The Program Associate will assist in managing the ARC network, contribute to the development of strategic initiatives, and support the grantmaking process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Grant Tracking and Management: Oversee program grants, ensuring timely completion and accurate monitoring.
- Research and Strategy Development: Conduct research and provide analysis to inform the development of the program's strategy.
- Networking and Relationship Building: Identify potential grantees, develop relationships, and assess funding opportunities.
- Event Coordination: Assist with organizing online and in-person convenings.
- Communication: Draft communications and create knowledge products for internal and external stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring: Help track key performance indicators for the program and grantmaking efforts.
The ideal candidate will bring a passion for adaptation and resilience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work across different teams and stakeholders. Experience in the Global South is particularly valued, as the foundation’s work in these regions is a priority.
Location: Flexible; ClimateWorks is based in San Francisco, but remote candidates are welcome.

Competitive salary based on experience (Salary range: $80,000 - $85,000 for Bay Area/NYC, $75,000 - $80,000 for other U.S. locations).
