Apply now for the Advanced Training on Climate Information Services Organized by AGNES AFRICA
Programme Overview :As climate risks escalate across the African continent, including increased variability and frequent extreme weather events, the ability to access and utilize reliable climate information has become vital. However, the effective use of Climate Information Services (CIS) continues to face challenges such as technical barriers, limited accessibility, and weak integration into sector-specific decision-making processes.
To address these gaps, the African Group of Negotiators Expert Support (AGNES), in collaboration with AICCRA and the Alliance of Bioversity International & CIAT, has developed an intensive 5-week virtual training programme. This advanced course aims to strengthen the skills of professionals from government agencies, NGOs, civil society, and academia in using CIS effectively and contextually.
With content rooted in the latest research and innovation, and delivered by a team of distinguished African and international experts, the course blends technical insight, practical applications, and interactive learning methods. Participants will explore the full landscape of CIS—from risk analysis and climate prediction to governance models and innovative financing—tailored to African realities.
