Up to €20,000 in funding per selected project : Submit applications for the EAccelerate Fund 2025 for East African Filmmakers
Are you an emerging filmmaker from East Africa with a powerful short film idea? The EAccelerate Fund 2025 is here to support your creative vision with funding, mentorship, and international exposure.
This initiative, managed by Documentary Africa (DocA) on behalf of the East Africa Screen Collective (EASC), builds on a long-standing collaboration with DW Akademie. It's part of a broader effort to put the design and leadership of screen sector programs directly into African hands—placing local creativity and ownership at the center of storytelling and film development in the region.
For the 2025 cycle, the fund will specifically support alumni of the DW Akademie Film Development Fund and other East African creatives who are ready to take their short film concepts to the next level.
This is a unique chance to bring your story to life and reach audiences beyond borders. If you’re passionate about authentic storytelling and want to create a high-impact short film.
Don't miss out on the application deadline which is July 21, 2025.
