FULLY FUNDED TO STRASBOURG, FRANCE WITH STIPENDS: Apply for the Young European Federalists Joint Study Trip to Strasbourg for young changemakers in Europe

Applications are open for an enriching study visit to Strasbourg, often referred to as the second capital of Europe. JEF Finland, JEF Sweden, and JEF Steiermark are collaborating to host this unique opportunity from 11–14 November 2025. During the trip, participants will gain access to some of Europe’s most important institutions, including the European Parliament and the Council of Europe, while also engaging in interactive workshops, networking activities, and enjoying good company alongside memorable meals.

This experience is designed for everyone, whether deeply familiar with the European Union or just beginning to learn about it. The program offers participants the chance to deepen their understanding of EU decision-making, explore the very spaces where policies are shaped, and acquire tools to actively participate in European democratic processes in the future.

In total, 21 individuals will take part in the program, with seven spots available for each of the three organizing sections. All travel and accommodation costs are fully covered, and participants will also receive a modest daily allowance for meals. The application period will remain open until 31 August 2025, with final selections communicated by 4 September 2025.

Selection will focus on applicants’ enthusiasm for European affairs and their interest in continuing engagement with related topics. Particular consideration will be given to individuals who might otherwise face challenges in joining international activities due to financial, social, or geographical barriers. A balanced representation of backgrounds will also guide the final choice of participants.

The study trip is supported by the Erasmus+ project NEXT 30: Youth Vision for the EU’s Future, which celebrates 30 years since Finland, Sweden, and Austria became members of the European Union. Those chosen for this trip will also be prioritized for upcoming activities within the project, including a mentoring program focused on careers within the EU and youth participation.
