Applications are now open for the Johns Hopkins Gender Equity and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Evidence Accelerator Fellowship for the 2026–2027 academic year. This competitive, year-long fellowship is designed for professionals, researchers, and scholars committed to advancing gender equity and addressing GBV, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Hosted by the Center for Global Women’s Health and Gender Equity (CGWHGE) at Johns Hopkins University, the fellowship offers a unique blend of structured learning, expert mentorship, and applied research within a supportive global cohort.

 About the Fellowship

This part-time, cohort-based programme focuses on strengthening practical skills in:

• Evidence generation and analysis

• Research synthesis and translation

• Gender equity and GBV-informed programming and policy

Fellows will complete selected coursework through the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH) and receive continuous mentorship from CGWHGE faculty. Participants will also undertake a mini research or evidence project, such as secondary data analysis or evidence synthesis, aligned with their professional focus.

Most activities are conducted virtually, with at least one in-person cohort convening during the year to support networking and collaboration.

 Time Commitment

• Average of 10 hours per week

• Up to 20 hours per week during course-intensive periods

• Additional time for travel related to in-person convenings

• Monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) professionals

• Community researchers

• PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, or junior faculty working on gender/GBV
