Program Benefits
Selected applicants join a high‑quality virtual programme in innovation and entrepreneurship tailored to Africa’s health innovation landscape. The programme offers structured training covering entrepreneurial thinking, translational research, business strategy, creative problem‑solving, and other essential skills. Participation also includes interactive workshops, peer collaboration, and personalised mentorship. Innovations that demonstrate strong potential may be invited for additional support or advanced opportunities within the AfOx innovation ecosystem. While the core training is delivered virtually, some selected innovators may gain further access to Oxford‑related support or networking experiences.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for AfOx‑HIP, applicants must be nationals of African countries or legally resident and domiciled in an African country and currently developing an innovation in their host country that addresses disease prevention, diagnosis, management, or treatment. The initiative welcomes applications from individual innovators or small teams working on science‑based health solutions; however, student course projects or well‑established corporate or non‑profit ventures are not accepted.
