The Kofi Annan Scholars Program deploys experienced public health professionals from Africa and the African diaspora into time-bound placements within Ministries of Health, National Public Health Institutes, and other key national health institutions. These placements allow experts to provide high-level technical support, strengthen institutional systems, and contribute to strategic public health initiatives across the continent.
Through this initiative, selected experts will support governments and public health institutions in developing strategic frameworks, strengthening health systems, and improving preparedness for public health threats. The program also aims to promote knowledge transfer, leadership development, and sustainable capacity building across Africa.
