FULLY FUNDED TO BERLIN : Apply for the NATO’s Future Seminar 2026 in Germany for Students, Researchers, and Young Professionals
Applications are now open for NATO's Future Seminar 2026, an international program designed to bring together emerging leaders interested in transatlantic security, defense policy, and international cooperation.
Organized by YATA Germany, the three-day seminar will take place in Berlin, Germany, from 6–8 November 2026, and will provide participants with an opportunity to engage in policy discussions, expert exchanges, and collaborative learning alongside security professionals from across NATO and Partnership for Peace (PfP) member countries.
Under the theme "Europe's Contribution to NATO: Between Transatlantic Security Guarantees and Greater Strategic Responsibility," the 2026 edition will explore Europe's evolving role in collective defense and examine how European countries can strengthen their contributions to NATO while maintaining strong transatlantic partnerships.
The seminar is expected to bring together approximately 30 students, researchers, and young professionals from NATO and PfP countries. Participants will engage directly with policymakers, academics, military experts, and representatives of international organizations while expanding their professional networks.
Program Structure
The program will combine expert-led panel discussions, interactive workshops, and strategic foresight exercises designed to encourage critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving.
Participants will choose one of the following workshop tracks:
Workshop I: Advancing European Defence: Closing Capability Gaps and Sharing the Burden
This workshop will examine how European allies can strengthen military readiness, improve defense cooperation, enhance interoperability, and increase their contribution to NATO's collective defense efforts.
Workshop II: Beyond the Battlefield: Deterrence, Strategic Resolve, and Europe's Support for Ukraine
This workshop will focus on Europe's response to the changing security landscape, including support for Ukraine, deterrence strategies, hybrid threats, and NATO's long-term credibility.
