CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Apply for the Youth Climate Changemakers Fund for Informal Groups 2026 (Up to €1,000 in Funding)
Applications are open for the Youth Climate Changemakers Fund, which provides grants of up to €1,000 to informal youth groups seeking to strengthen the climate movement through community-led initiatives. The fund supports young people who want to raise climate awareness, engage the public, mobilise communities, advocate for climate action, and build the capacity of others to respond to climate challenges.
The opportunity is open to informal groups comprising at least three young people under the age of 30. Applicants do not need to be registered organisations, making the fund accessible to youth-led initiatives and grassroots groups that may not have formal legal status. Successful applicants can use the funding to implement projects that contribute to a stronger and more active climate movement.
Eligible activities include climate awareness campaigns, public engagement initiatives, community mobilisation, advocacy, capacity-building activities, and training programmes. Proposed projects must have an implementation period of between six and twelve months.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the next application deadline is October 25, 2026. Interested youth groups are encouraged to prepare their proposals and apply before the deadline to secure funding for their climate initiatives.
