PARTIALLY FUNDED: Apply to join the Italy 2024 Y7 Young Ambassadors Society for a chance to attend the Y7 Summit in Rome!
The Italian non-profit association, the Young Ambassadors Society (YAS), leads the Y7, the official youth engagement group of the G7 2024 hosted in Italy. YAS, founded in 2011, aims to empower young individuals, involving them in global policymaking processes. As the chair of Y7 Italy and a founding member of the Y20 and Y7, YAS collaborates with the Italian Presidency and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to amplify youth voices globally.
YAS, previously chairing the Y20 and Y7 in 2021 and 2017 respectively, bridges the gap between youth perspectives and global policymaking. The association also hosts the Global Youth Leader (GYL) program, uniting under-30 leaders to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals through learning and impactful policy initiatives.
Y7 Italy 2024 focuses on key areas such as Environmental Sustainability, Inclusion, Innovation, and Future Skills. YAS, alongside government offices, is recruiting delegates for Y7 and Y20, engaging under-30 leaders for months culminating in summits where their proposals influence the Heads of State. The application deadline for both Y7 and Y20 Italian delegations is 15 January 2024, allowing applicants from anywhere around the world to engage in the Global Youth Leader Program.

Additional Information
- Be between 18 and 30 years old when submitting the application (up to 35 years old for the GYL program).
- Be fluent in English (speaking, writing, and reading) and Italian (speaking, writing, and reading).
- Have volunteer, study, entrepreneurial, or work experience related to at least one of the priority areas.
- Be willing and able to work in a team with other Italian and international delegates.
- Be capable of attending the Y7/Y20 Summit and committing around 7 hours per week before and after the Summit, engaging in activities such as the Global Youth Leaders Program, supporting YAS in organizing consultations, researching topics, writing policy papers, participating in online meetings, negotiations, and contributing to post-Summit actions.
- Possess a multicultural perspective in understanding global problems and an awareness of the roles of G7/G20 and their engagement groups, Y7/Y20.
- Be capable of covering expenses not covered by the hosting country, including the round trip to the Summit location, despite board and accommodation being provided.
- Be capable of obtaining a VISA to enter the hosting country, if required.
Note: Holding an Italian passport is not mandatory to join the Italian Delegation; however, the aforementioned conditions must be met.
