In order to create a workforce that is mobile, globally linked, and engaged in research and innovation, the International Fellowships Program offers academics the opportunity to work for two years at a UK university.

Through obtaining foreign experience, the foreign Fellowships Program supports exceptional early career researchers in their efforts to take the first step towards establishing an independent research career. Every prize is meant to involve a particular, protected research topic, and the recipient is expected to conduct excellent, unique research.

The Royal Society and the British Academy oversee this program together.

The International Fellowships Program seeks to encourage early career researchers, promote a globally connected workforce in research and innovation, train and develop career prospects, and cultivate long-term relationships through networking.
