The Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation offer fellowships to outstanding young intellectuals who choose to work on a project unconnected to their previous studies. The fellowship aims to support those who, like Albert Einstein, are open to new, interdisciplinary ideas and simultaneously perform outstanding work in their field of competence.

The scholarship gives the winner the opportunity to live in the garden cottage of Einstein's own summer home in Caputh, Brandenburg, for five to six months. Potsdam and Berlin's academic institutions are easily accessible.

At the end of the fellowship term, the fellow will have to give a public speech at the Wittenstein Foundation and the Einstein Forum about his or her initiative. The Einstein Fellowship is not intended for individuals who wish to complete a course of study they have already begun.
