Program Benefits
The MFMC has a two-step application process and targets big grants with a range of EUR 20,000 to EUR 200,000. A streamlined, one-stage application process is available for small grants up to EUR 10,000, and the board will evaluate submissions in accordance with its objectives and plan.
Eligibility Criteria
International applicants are welcome to apply to the calls for applications.
The MFMC provides funding for initiatives that promote significant, immediate change, with an emphasis on altering procedures and policies in both public and commercial organisations.
The foundation only takes into account applications that are obviously in line with its approach.
For each call for submissions, a user account may submit a single application. This means that you may apply for a small grant and a large grant at the same time, but you cannot apply for a large grant or a small award more than once.
You will need to request a second (and so forth) user account if your organisation intends to apply for significant funds for more than one project. For every user account, a new contact person needs to be specified.
Please be aware that the foundation will not review applications that are solely local in nature, that concentrate on carrying out neighborhood-level initiatives like planting trees, conserving forests, or adapting to climate change, or that mainly aim to enlighten the public about climate issues.
