The Transforming Faces of the East-West Centre Applications for the Women's Leadership Seminar 2024 are now being accepted. The Altering Faces The main theme of the Women's Leadership Seminar is the vital role that entrepreneurship and innovation play in spurring economic growth, generating employment, and enhancing communities. Participants in this 12-day professional training, conversation, and travel programme attend sessions focused on entrepreneurship and leadership.

Participants also learn more about leadership, entrepreneurship, community development, and economic growth through carefully planned field trips and discussions with practitioners, experts, business owners, and lawmakers in Hawaii. Individual matches between participants and female leaders in the community are made through the Host Mentor Programme.

Participants in Changing Faces provide mentorship to a selected group of high school students as part of a Next Generation Service Project in exchange. Last but not least, the Changing Faces Seminar also provides training and consultation sessions to help participants create and implement a customized Action Plan for the progress of their work or community.

Sponsors of the Changing Faces Women's Leadership Seminar are East-West Centre and the Fish Family Foundation. There are six to eight ladies from the US and Asia-Pacific region that take part; the complete scholarship is $3,250 USD
The 2024 programme provides participants with flight, ground transportation, lodging, meals, individualised mentoring, cultural events, and networking opportunities. The facilitators are experienced professionals with a focus on women's leadership and local issues.

Eligibility Criteria

Female social entrepreneurs and business owners with leadership skills and a history of making a positive influence on the community are welcome to apply for the Changing Faces Women Leadership Seminar. Those in government, civil society leaders, and creative company entrepreneurs are among the eligible applicants. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and preference will be given to those with limited chances for professional advancement. Interviews over the phone are possible.

Application Procedure

An online application, a letter of interest, examples of professional leadership and innovation, evidence of community engagement, and an executable goal are required for the Changing Faces Seminar Application Form. To demonstrate eligibility for the seminar, a signed and printed curriculum vitae and two formal recommendation letters from professionals should also be sent.
