15,000 USD GRANT: Planet Media is calling for creatives and creators to pitch their climate change content ideas!

Seeking creative minds! As extreme weather disrupts schooling and confines kids indoors, the reality of a changing climate looms over them, yet education about it remains scarce. Often, the narrative skews towards despair. Enter Planet Media, determined to rewrite this tale by highlighting hope and solutions. Our mission: to empower youngsters with the understanding that while our world transforms, collective action can shape a brighter future.

Partnering with The Aspen Institute renowned for fostering impactful dialogues, we've championed climate solutions through This Is Planet Ed since 2020, targeting formal education at all levels. Now, we're extending our reach, welcoming creators of children's media to join the conversation.

Families seek captivating, optimistic content aiding their comprehension of the world. Collaborating with The Nature Conservancy, our climate experts have distilled crucial climate concepts into 4 simple principles. We're calling for pitches to craft engaging short-form content that brings these principles alive.

Our aim with Planet Media's Call for Pitches: spark inventive ideas supporting 8-12-year-olds to grasp essential climate concepts, emphasizing hope, humor, and solutions. We welcome diverse creative approaches—be it animation, live action, music, and beyond. Finalists get the chance to pitch at Aspen Ideas: Climate Miami Beach, with select pitches receiving production support to create the content.
