Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the ACT Foundation grant, organizations must:
- Operate within the foundation’s focus areas: Health, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Environment.
- Be legally registered in their respective African countries for at least two years (24 months).
- Be registered as a non-profit organization (GTE/LTD). Social enterprises can apply, but only for non-profit initiatives.
- Demonstrate a solid governance structure, with board of directors details reflected in the registration documents (updates required if missing).
- Show proof of funding from other sources.
- Have at least three part-time or full-time paid staff members.
- Be directly responsible for planning and managing the project, not acting as intermediaries.
- Ensure the project is carried out within Africa.
**Ineligibility Criteria**:
- Individuals.
- Non-profits without a legal Board of Directors or Trustees.
- Entities that have previously mismanaged foundation funds.
- Political parties, campaign groups, or their affiliates.
- Organizations that promote harmful policies, illegal activities, or terrorism.
