The African Youth Empowerment Summit (AYES 2025) is pleased to announce that registration is officially open for this year’s continental gathering of youth leaders, changemakers, policymakers, and development partners.

AYES 2025 will feature keynote addresses, high-level panels, workshops, and the launch of key youth-led initiatives including the Kibera Transformation Project.

With participants expected from African countries and the diaspora, this summit is a critical platform to connect, collaborate, and lead Africa’s transformation.

Who They Are

Africa’s youth are the continent’s greatest asset, holding the potential to drive transformative change and achieve the goals set out in the African Union's Agenda 2063. With over 60% of the population under 25, this demographic represents a powerful force for progress in governance, technology, entrepreneurship, and human rights, provided they have access to the necessary resources and collaborative platforms.

Continental Integration and Regional Collaboration
A united Africa can achieve its economic and political goals more rapidly. The active participation of youth in regional integration efforts, such as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), is essential for realizing this vision.

Women’s and Children’s Rights
Promoting the rights and empowerment of women and children is a fundamental step toward achieving sustainable development.

Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Africa’s youth must play a leading role in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, driving technological innovation and digital transformation.

Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment
Youth entrepreneurship is a powerful engine for job creation, economic diversification, and long-term prosperity.

Business and Human Rights
With Africa’s dynamic entrepreneurial landscape, integrating human rights into business practices is critical for fostering equitable growth and responsible development.

Pan-African Debate
This debate provides a platform for youth representatives from across the continent to discuss and address critical issues, including governance, trade, and technology, shaping the future of Africa.
