The Association for Responsible AI (ARAI) has introduced its inaugural Virtual Fellowship Programme focused on advancing critical and inclusive approaches to artificial intelligence policy. The initiative is implemented in collaboration with the Center for Digital Ethics and Policy at Loyola University Chicago, under the academic leadership of Florence Chee.

The fellowship brings together a diverse international cohort of researchers and practitioners working to shape responsible and equitable AI governance frameworks.

Participants explore interdisciplinary themes influencing global AI policy, including:

• Environmental sustainability and AI systems
• Misinformation, digital risks, and online harms
• Legal and regulatory dimensions of AI policy

Fellows engage in a collaborative and research-driven virtual learning environment that includes:

The fellowship concludes with:

• A jointly authored AI Policy Report
• Public presentations during the 2026 Online Summer School
